Job Description

The QA engineer will spend the majority of their time supporting testing efforts for two external-facing websites and an internal intranet built on Optimizely CMS/DXP, with a strong focus on manual testing (approximately 75%). On a daily basis, they will review user stories and requirements, create detailed test cases, and execute functional, regression, UAT, and end-to-end testing across both frontend and backend components. They will validate key Optimizely features such as content updates, personalization, and experimentation. The role involves logging and tracking defects in JIRA, collaborating closely with developers to troubleshoot issues, and ensuring defects are resolved before release. Additionally, the QA will contribute to automation efforts (about 25% of their time) by building and maintaining Selenium and Cucumber-based test scripts. They will work within an Agile Scrum/Kanban environment, participate in daily standups and sprint activities, and help move features through QA to production. Throughout their work, they will also partner with product, marketing, and compliance teams to ensure releases meet financial regulatory standards and may leverage AI tools like Copilot to improve testing efficiency and documentation. The compensation ranges from $15-18/hr based on years of experience.
