Job Description

Insight Global is assisting a client in identifying a Director of Field Engineering to act as the technical bridge between our product, customers, and go-to-market teams. This role combines deep technical expertise with strategic business acumen to help shape how our technology is adopted, deployed, and scaled in the field. You’ll join a fast-growing B2B SaaS company serving global hardware brands and engineering leaders. Our platform powers device lifecycle management and embedded software solutions for major enterprises. With offices in the U.S. and Europe and a strong foundation backed by a leading semiconductor company, we’re at a pivotal moment in our journey—large customer base, big brands, and startup agility. This is both a strategic and hands-on role: you’ll guide product direction through customer insights, act as a trusted technical advisor, and lead a team of field engineers while engaging directly with enterprise customers.

Key Responsibilities
• Serve as the technical leader and trusted advisor for enterprise customers, bridging engineering and business needs.
• Partner with customers and prospects to understand requirements, design solutions, and ensure successful deployments.
• Represent the company at conferences, industry events, and customer meetings to advocate for best practices in device lifecycle management.
• Influence product strategy by pairing field insights with technical expertise to shape roadmap decisions.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, and Product teams to maximize customer outcomes.
• Manage and mentor a team of field engineers across multiple geographies; coach and support their growth.
• Join critical pre-sales and post-sales meetings, providing technical credibility and solution guidance.
• Travel as needed (approximately once per quarter; most customer interactions via Zoom).
