Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer Contractor to support our People Analytics team. This role involves developing scalable data pipelines, building Power BI dashboards, and integrating data from Snowflake and other platforms to enhance our analytics strategy. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Python, a strong background in cloud data platforms such as Snowflake, and a passion for transforming data into actionable business insights.

The compensation for this role ranges from $45 to $55 an hour depending on experience, education and location.

Required Skills & Experience

• At least 2+ years of experience in data engineering or analytics engineering.
• Proficiency in Python for developing pipelines, automation, and data manipulation.
• Experience supporting and enhancing data science models as needed.
• Strong hands-on expertise with Power BI, including dashboard design and data modeling.
• Extensive experience using Snowflake for data warehousing and SQL-based solutions.
• Solid understanding of Python, SQL, relational databases, and data modeling best practices.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP is advantageous.
• Knowledge of version control tools (e.g., Git) and CI/CD practices.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

• Experience working with HR or workforce analytics data is highly desirable.
• Understanding of Agile methodologies and experience with project management tools like Jira.
• Strong ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
