Job Description

A top tree service company is seeking an experienced and organized Repair Shop and Parts Manager to oversee the maintenance, repair operations, and parts inventory for the fleet of tree service equipment and vehicles. This role ensures our equipment is always safe, reliable, and ready for use. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, and has strong leadership and inventory management skills.

Key Responsibilities:
Maintenance & Repairs
Oversee maintenance and repair of all company vehicles (diesel and gas-powered), equipment (e.g., chainsaws and chippers), and tools.
Diagnose mechanical issues and facilitate or assign timely repairs.
Develop and maintain preventative maintenance schedules.
Parts & Inventory Management
Manage inventory of tools, parts, and supplies.
Order, receive, and track parts and shop materials to ensure optimal stock levels.
Maintain vendor relationships and negotiate pricing when applicable.
Team & Shop Management
Supervise repair technicians and mechanics.
Ensure safety procedures and shop cleanliness are upheld.
Maintain accurate service records and documentation.
Compliance & Reporting
Ensure vehicles and equipment meet all safety and DOT requirements.
Track repair costs and report to management.
Assist with budgeting for repairs, maintenance, and parts.


Compensation: $38-45/hr.

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Required Skills & Experience

3+ years of experience in equipment repair, fleet maintenance, or related field.
Previous management or supervisory experience preferred.
Strong knowledge of gasoline and diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, and small engine equipment.
Familiarity with arborist or landscaping equipment is a plus.
Proficient with inventory software and maintenance tracking systems.
Valid drivers license; CDL is a plus.
