Job Description
A top tree service company is looking for a Mechanic to join their Equipment Branch. The main responsibilities are split up: 80% fixing/servicing broken equipment and 20% mentoring/cleaning/paperwork. The candidate should be experienced in managing inventory and ordering necessary parts and supplies to complete repairs, overhauling components (i.e., engines, transmissions, undercarriages, electrical systems, cooling and braking systems), and using computerized diagnostic equipment to identify mechanical problems and apply corrective actions. The individual will work on a team of mechanics but should be a mechanical subject matter expert. The ideal candidate would have 5+ years of experience as a mechanic dealing with the maintenance of large tree service machinery and equipment.
Compensation: $27-32/hr.
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Required Skills & Experience
• 5-10+ years of experience as a heavy equipment mechanic
• Experience with a range of equipment from large tree service machinery to small generators/pressure washers
• Working knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, components, and accessories
• Working knowledge of gasoline, diesel, propane, electric, and natural gas motors, components, and accessories
• Ability to diagnose problems and solutions quickly
• Willingness to help mentor fellow coworkers
• Experience with tree service specific machinery is a plus: wood chippers, stump grinders, chainsaws, and aerial lifts
