We are looking for a Senior Scientist to join the Manufacturing Sciences and Technology (MSAT) organization at a large pharmaceutical client based out of Andover, MA. This upstream cell culture and fermentation team supports late-stage development and commercial biopharmaceuticals and vaccines, and responsible for process troubleshooting, process improvements, and second generation process development.
This person will be expected to plan and execute well-designed lab experiments in cell culture and/or fermentation with pre-defined goals. This includes basic analytics, data acquisition and interpretation, user-level maintenance of the relevant equipment and documentation of work.
Plan and execute upstream process experiments at benchtop scales
Operate and maintain benchtop bioreactors and associated analytic tools
Understand and adjust control and data acquisition systems
Document results and present them to internal teams
Assist in manufacturing investigations and process troubleshooting
