Our client is looking for a Traveling Security Technician to sit in Woodlawn, MD who will be responsible for supporting government customers locally and throughout the country. This individual will also be responsible for:
* Installing and programming electronic security systems including but not limited to access control systems, intrusion detection and CCTV systems
* Assist project management staff with creating proposals as needed
* Maintain project equipment and project redline drawings
* Assist engineering staff with creating designs and blueprints as necessary for client sites
* Perform quality control visits at customer sites as needed
* Train customer personnel on the use of security systems
* Install low voltage cabling
* Terminate, program and test security systems and any malfunctions

* 3+ years of experience with electronic security systems (Axis, Pelco, Bosh, DMP, Lenel, SoftwareHouse, MDI, Hirsch, Hanwha, Genetec, etc)
* Knowledge of low voltage electrical principles (DC Power, Relays, etc)
* Basic understanding of IP Networking
* MUST be willing to travel to local and other project locations out of state (up to 75% in time).
* Strong knowledge and experience installing, configuring, troubleshooting Intrusion Detection Systems(IDS), Internet Protocol (IP) video surveillance systems and other security systems
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
