Job Description

Insight Global is looking for someone to support the CMS Division of Civilian Health Solutions (CHS) as an IBM Systems Engineer. This is an exciting opportunity to use your experience helping the Managed Infrastructure Service Provider (MiSP) program mission, with (preferred) proven experience within the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) environment. This role requires a seasoned professional who has a full understanding EFT/MFT technology, processes, best practices, and use in the Federal Health IT space. The successful candidate will interface with customers and teams to support the existing EFT environment and daily operations.

- Installation, configuration, administration, and troubleshooting of IBM Sterling in Unix/Linux environments.
Technical Specifications: Collaborates with business leads to create technical specifications and solutions that meet functional requirements efficiently.
- Monitors performance, availability, and capacity of equipment, reporting concerns to management.
- Diagnoses and troubleshoots incidents, follows change control processes, updates incident tickets, and participates in resolution and root cause analysis.
- Performs preventative maintenance, installs security patches, develops system documentation, and provides rotational off-hours support.

Compensation:

$55/hr to $65/hr.

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Required Skills & Experience

- Bachelors degree in mathematics, computer science, engineering, or related discipline with an information technology focus & 5+ years as Unix/Linux system administrator, network administrator, or application support in IT operations. (can take more years of experience in lieu a degree.)
- Extensive hands-on experience with IBM Sterling including installation, configuration, and administration in Unix/Linux environments. (Gentran)
- Proficient in data transfer protocols (SFTP, HTTPS), SSL certificates, SSH keys, and network security/encryption tools (SSH, VPN).
- Strong communication, customer service, interpersonal skills, and ability to document procedures and train others.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

- AWS Certifications is a plus.
- Experience in AWS Services required for transfer family integrations.
- Experience in Python, PERL, Java/J2EE, SQL, HTML, JavaScript, XML, FTP
- Experience in File Encryption protocols - PGP, GPG
