Job Description

Insight Global is looking for a Senior Healthcare Claims Data Scientist to lead their team. The role involves performing scientific work that leverages analytical, statistical, and programming skills to collect, analyze, and interpret large data sets, developing data-driven solutions to complex business challenges. The candidate will contribute to major programs and may take on project leadership roles. Utilizing advanced tools and computational techniques, they will interpret, connect, predict, and uncover insights from complex data, providing actionable recommendations for business and analytical decisions. The candidate will collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to identify opportunities for leveraging company data to drive business solutions. The candidate will also coach and review the work of less-experienced professionals and serve as a team or task leader, though not as a people manager. They will design, research, and develop highly advanced processes, potentially leading to new product or business opportunities for the company.

Compensation: $51/hr. -- 66/hr. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.

Required Skills & Experience

Masters Degree in IT, Data, Statistics, or related field or a bachelors and 8+ years of experience
7+ years of experience datamining for healthcare fraud, waste, and abuse in large, multi-payer databases with diverse health care benefit structures and claim processing systems, including private plans (commercial insurance) as well as Federal and State public plans (Medicare and Medicaid)
Experience using Python for healthcare Fraud, Waste and Abuse datamining and statistical modeling
Experience utilizing SQL / SnowSQL to query data and Tableau for visualization
Experience conducting analysis of Big Data to identify trends, anomalies, and outliers
Strong communication / presentation skills to operate in a client facing capacity

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Experience in Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud and/or Snowflake data warehouse environments
Skilled at explaining technical outcomes precisely to technical audiences and clearly to non-technical audiences
Experience adhering to 508 Compliance standards
Experience supporting Medicare / Medicaid FWA claims data efforts
