Day to day: Insight Global is seeking 2 Inventory Control Clerks to work for a large healthcare system based out of Largo, MD. The Inventory Clerk is responsible for managing the flow of medical supplies and equipment throughout the hospital to ensure all clinical areas are well-stocked and prepared for patient care. This role involves tracking inventory, pulling products from central storage, and restocking designated PAR (Periodic Automatic Replenishment) levels on hospital floors. The Inventory Clerk plays a critical part in supporting hospital operations and patient care by maintaining accurate inventory levels and ensuring the timely delivery of necessary supplies.
Responsibilities:
1. Inventory Management:
○ Track, organize, and manage inventory levels for medical supplies and equipment in designated storage areas.
○ Conduct regular cycle counts and inventory checks to ensure accurate records and avoid stockouts or overstocking.
2. Product Pulling and Stocking:
○ Pull required products and supplies from central storage based on hospital needs and restocking requests.
○ Stock PAR levels on hospital floors, ensuring each area has adequate supplies for patient care based on defined minimum and maximum levels.
○ Rotate inventory to ensure older stock is used first and check for expired or damaged items.
3. Requisition and Replenishment:
○ Prepare requisitions for inventory replenishment based on PAR levels, usage patterns, and department requests.
○ Collaborate with the materials management team to ensure timely restocking of essential supplies and equipment.
4. Communication and Coordination:
○ Serve as the main point of contact for supply-related inquiries from nursing staff and other hospital departments.
○ Work with department heads to assess and adjust PAR levels as needed to meet changing demands.
○ Notify supervisors of any supply shortages, discrepancies, or urgent needs.
5. Receiving and Unpacking Deliveries:
○ Receive, unpack, and inspect incoming deliveries for accuracy and quality.
○ Place supplies in appropriate storage locations and update inventory records as needed.
6. Documentation and Record-Keeping:
○ Maintain accurate records of inventory transactions, including product quantities, locations, and usage data.
○ Document supply usage and movements in the hospital's inventory management system.
7. Quality Assurance:
○ Ensure that all storage areas are clean, organized, and comply with hospital infection control standards.
○ Dispose of packing materials and empty boxes properly, maintaining a safe and organized work environment.

Required Skills & Experience
Must-have
• HS Diploma or equivalent
• 1+ years of experience in inventory management
• Strong organizational and time-management skills; attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to lift and transport equipment and supplies up to 50 pounds.
• Able to work well independently and without being micromanaged
Flu shot required (medical or religious exemptions allowed)
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Plusses
1+ years of experience in inventory management, in a hospital or healthcare setting preferably.
