We are currently seeking a skilled CMDB (Configuration Management Database) Admin/Implementation Specialist Lead to oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of a CMDB and related ITOM modules. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in CMDB administration, data modeling, and integration, along with strong leadership skills to assist a team in achieving CMDB excellence as the prime subject matter expert. This role will play a critical part in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and usability of our CMDB to support various IT initiatives and business objectives.

Responsibilities:

* Help lead the strategy, design, implementation, and maintenance of the CMDB/ITOM Application to ensure alignment with organizational goals and ITIL best practices.

* Define and enforce CMDB policies, standards, and processes to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and integrity.

* Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, understand business needs, and translate them into CMDB solutions.

* Develop and maintain CMDB data models, classes, attributes, and relationships to accurately represent IT infrastructure and services.

* Implement and maintain CMDB integrations with other ITSM modules, discovery tools, asset management systems, and third-party applications.

* Lead data reconciliation, normalization, and enrichment efforts to improve CMDB data quality and reliability.

* Develop and maintain CI (Configuration Item) lifecycle management processes, including identification, verification, and audit trails.

* Provide leadership and mentorship to CMDB administrators and implementation specialists, fostering a collaborative and high-performance team environment.

* Conduct regular audits and reviews of CMDB data to identify discrepancies, inconsistencies, and opportunities for improvement.

* Serve as a subject matter expert on CMDB-related matters, providing guidance, training, and support to IT teams and stakeholders.

Required Skills & Experience

US Citizenship

Requirements:

1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. Advanced degree or relevant certifications (e.g., ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist - CMDB) is a plus.

2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in ServiceNow ITOM administration, implementation, and integration, with at least 2 years in a leadership or lead role.

3. Deep understanding of CMDB concepts, data models, and best practices, along with proficiency in ITIL processes and methodologies.

4. Extensive hands-on experience with CMDB tools and platforms, preferably ServiceNow CMDB.

5. Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure components, including servers, networks, storage, databases, and applications.

6. Experience with CMDB integrations using APIs, MID Servers, discovery tools (e.g., ServiceNow Discovery), and reconciliation engines.

7. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills, with a keen attention to detail.

8. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

9. Proven leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate, coach, and develop team members.

10. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Preferred Qualifications:

11. ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist - ITOM certification.

12. Experience with IT asset management (ITAM) and service mapping.

13. Familiarity with CI/CD (Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment) pipelines and DevOps practices.

14. Previous experience with ServiceNow Discovery, Service Mapping, and Event Management.

15. Experience with data governance and compliance frameworks.

16. Knowledge of ITSM processes and modules, such as Incident Management, Change Management, and Service Catalog.

17. Experience with ITSM tool migrations and upgrades.
