Job Description
We are currently seeking a skilled CMDB (Configuration Management Database) Admin/Implementation Specialist Lead to oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of a CMDB and related ITOM modules. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in CMDB administration, data modeling, and integration, along with strong leadership skills to assist a team in achieving CMDB excellence as the prime subject matter expert. This role will play a critical part in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and usability of our CMDB to support various IT initiatives and business objectives.
Responsibilities:
* Help lead the strategy, design, implementation, and maintenance of the CMDB/ITOM Application to ensure alignment with organizational goals and ITIL best practices.
* Define and enforce CMDB policies, standards, and processes to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and integrity.
* Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, understand business needs, and translate them into CMDB solutions.
* Develop and maintain CMDB data models, classes, attributes, and relationships to accurately represent IT infrastructure and services.
* Implement and maintain CMDB integrations with other ITSM modules, discovery tools, asset management systems, and third-party applications.
* Lead data reconciliation, normalization, and enrichment efforts to improve CMDB data quality and reliability.
* Develop and maintain CI (Configuration Item) lifecycle management processes, including identification, verification, and audit trails.
* Provide leadership and mentorship to CMDB administrators and implementation specialists, fostering a collaborative and high-performance team environment.
* Conduct regular audits and reviews of CMDB data to identify discrepancies, inconsistencies, and opportunities for improvement.
* Serve as a subject matter expert on CMDB-related matters, providing guidance, training, and support to IT teams and stakeholders.
