Job Description

Insight Global is looking for a Financial Analyst – Grants who partners with Business Office leadership and faculty to manage financial and compliance activities for sponsored and non-sponsored programs. This role is responsible for financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and grant lifecycle management while ensuring compliance with institutional, federal, and agency regulations. The analyst supports strategic decision-making by monitoring funding, controlling costs, and maintaining financial integrity across assigned portfolios.

Responsibilities
• Financial Analysis & Reporting
○ Analyze financial performance, forecasts, and trends
○ Monitor budgets, investigate variances, and communicate insights
○ Ensure spending aligns with funding and resolve gaps
○ Support audits and fiscal year-end closeout
• Budget & Grants Management
○ Manage departmental and grant budgets across full lifecycle (setup → closeout)
○ Ensure compliance with GAAP, NIH, OMB, and institutional policies
○ Support PIs with reporting, rebudgeting, and grant modifications
○ Coordinate agreements (consultants, services, etc.)
• Financial Operations
○ Review and approve transactions for accuracy and compliance
○ Manage payroll allocations, cost transfers, and budget updates
○ Maintain documentation and monitor spending activity
• Sponsored Programs Support
○ Advise investigators on grant management and funding strategy
Oversee effort reporting, payroll reconciliation, and compliance

Required Skills & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
1+ years of relevant financial experience
Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills

Experience working with grants and contracts
