Job Description

Responsibilities:

Manage and coordinate all aspects of the release process using Copado.

Work closely with Copado DevSecOps Engineers, Salesforce Developers, Test Automation Engineers, Product Owners, and other stakeholders to plan and execute releases

Ensure that all changes are thoroughly tested and validated before deployment

Maintain and optimize the Copado release management tool, including workflows, pipelines, and integrations.

Develop and enforce best practices for release management, including version control, continuous integration, continuous deployment, semantic versioning, and release artifacts

Create and maintain detailed release documentation, including release notes, deployment plans, and rollback procedures

Monitor and troubleshoot issues in the release process, ensuring timely resolution and minimal impact on operations

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on release schedules and priorities

Provide training and support to team members on Copado and release management processes

Ensure appropriate controls are met in the release and deployment process

Effectively communicate technical and business strategies to internal and external stakeholders

Lead and document root cause analyses for deployment and release issues

Develop a sense of shared ownership of release issues and commitment to delivery among scrum masters, engineers, and other practices

Understands the motivations and dependencies that drive teams to deliver continuously and iteratively, consistent with high value solutions

Continuously improve the release process to increase efficiency and reduce risk

Stay updated on the latest Copado and Salesforce developments and recommend new features or practices to improve our release management process.

Required Skills & Experience

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or technology related field

10+ years of release management experience

8+ years of DevSecOps experience with cloud architectures, CI/CD pipelines, release management, and security tools

5+ years of experience in Salesforce Development

5+ years of experience with Copado and release management

Strong understanding of Salesforce development practices, Salesforce platform capabilities, governor limits, Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Web Components, Salesforce APIs, and

Experience with version control systems, such as Git

Proficiency in continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) practices

Experience managing multi-team projects?

Effective communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Strong knowledge and understanding of SAFe principles

Demonstrated leadership, analytical, team empowerment and negotiation skills

Excellent written and oral communication skills

Familiarity with Own Backup and Restore is a plus
