Job Description
We are seeking a senior, business-facing Business Analyst to lead requirements definition and backlog ownership for digital eCommerce and EHR-connected solutions serving eye care professionals (ECPs). This person acts as the connective tissue between senior business stakeholders and a technical delivery team. Their defining strength is the ability to translate business needs into a clean, well-structured, business-readable product backlog user stories that any stakeholder (Business, QA, Development, UX) can pick up and understand while running an efficient Agile cadence and keeping delivery on time, on scope, and transparent to leadership.
Key Responsibilities
· Requirements & Backlog Ownership:
· Elicit, analyze, and document business requirements through structured workshops and interviews with Directors, VPs, and business leaders.
· Author clear, business-oriented user stories that express business intent rather than pure technical implementation.
· Decompose large or bundled requirements into small, independent, testable stories organized around discrete user actions (Create, Edit, Remove, Submit, Review).
· Maintain a clear backlog hierarchy Epic → Feature → User Story → Task keeping unrelated capabilities (e.g., Bulk Order, Order Streamlining, Walkout) cleanly separated.
· Write precise acceptance criteria in Gherkin (Given / When / Then) to drive shared understanding and support test automation.
· Maintain a single backlog that reads clearly for Business, QA, Development, and Design alike.
· Agile Delivery & Facilitation:
· Facilitate Scrum ceremonies: sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
· Own sprint cadence and flow; identify and remove impediments; protect the team’s focus.
· Coach the team and stakeholders on Agile practices, story quality, and definition of ready/done.
· Track and communicate sprint health (velocity, burndown, throughput).
· Delivery Management & Stakeholder Communication:
· Own the delivery roadmap, milestones, and timelines; manage scope and change control.
· Proactively identify, log, and mitigate risks, issues, and cross-functional dependencies.
· Provide concise, insight-driven status reporting that translates delivery detail into business-relevant terms.
· Coordinate across business, engineering, QA, and design to keep commitments aligned
