Job Description
The Foreman will oversee all jobsite activities, coordinate manpower, and complete required documentation including daily reports, RFIs, and as‑built drawings. Work alongside the crew when needed and be fully prepared to install all required HVAC equipment such as RTUs, AHUs, boilers, and VAVs. Ensure projects are built according to plans, specifications, and IOMs while maintaining proper clearances, code compliance, and a high standard of installation quality.

Required Skills & Experience
Key Requirements
- Experience: Minimum of 7 years in the HVAC trade
- Education: High School Diploma/GED; advanced HVAC technical training preferred (experience may substitute)
Licenses/Certifications:
- CFC Certification (Universal preferred)
- HVAC Master’s preferred; Journeyman minimum (or obtain after hire)
- NATE Certifications
- OSHA‑30 (or obtain after hire)
- Valid driver’s license in good standing
Physical Ability:
- Lift 5–70 lbs frequently
Core Responsibilities
Project Planning
- Understand full project scope, contract requirements, and subcontractor responsibilities
- Read and interpret plans, specifications, submittals, and equipment installation instructions
- Verify electrical requirements, control sequences, and equipment details
- Review labor reports and communicate budget concerns
- Prepare RFIs with the Project Manager
- Maintain a two‑week project planner
Project Oversight & Execution
- Serve as primary on‑site contact for GC, owners, and client representatives
- Coordinate manpower needs with Superintendent; schedule subcontractors
- Manage material needs, shortages, deliveries, and equipment check‑ins
- Lead daily huddles and weekly safety meetings
- Oversee installation quality, layout, clearances, and code compliance
- Coordinate inspections and walk‑throughs with inspectors
- Enforce company safety policies and report injuries immediately
- Manage equipment start‑ups with PM, superintendent, and vendors
- Maintain and work down a running punch list
- Monitor labor and material usage to avoid unnecessary overtime
- Communicate daily progress and issues to the Project Manager
Project Documentation
- Ensure receipt and use of current drawings, specs, and sketches
- Submit daily reports and extra‑work invoices
- Maintain project photos, as‑built drawings, and start‑up documentation
Leadership
- Engage and guide crew members and crew leaders in all project phases
Accountability
- Maintain reliable attendance and follow company attendance policies
- Meet performance expectations by delivering projects on time, within budget, and to quality standards
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
- Perform standing, bending, climbing, overhead work, and long periods in static positions
- Work in heights, confined spaces, dusty areas, temperature extremes, and outdoor elements
