ATC Controls Technician

Insight Global is hiring an Automatic Temperature Control (ATC) Controls Technician to be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and supporting automatic temperature control systems, typically within commercial or institutional buildings.

• Working/developing knowledge of HVAC systems, gas distribution systems, and commercial refrigeration.
• Working/developing knowledge of design of mechanical and electrical systems for commercial, institutional facilities.
• Insurable MVR required; able to drive company van or truck and maintain vehicle in accordance with company policies.
• The ability to work independently and interface directly with customers.
• Will provide and maintain personal tools to meet the needs of the position, to include basic screw drivers, pliers, adjustable wrenches, and digital multimeters (VAC, VDC, A, mA, R), etc.
• Working/developing knowledge of building and energy codes as well as energy and commissioning standards.
Must be able to walk, stand, bend, climb, crawl, stoop; able to be exposed to heights as well as tight/confined spaces; work in dusty areas; work in temperature extremes; be exposed to external elements (wind, rain, snow, etc.) Must be able to lift up to 60 lbs.

• 2-5 years minimum experience with HVAC Controls
• Must be able to obtain a minimum-security clearance and pass a background investigation.
• Skills with Microsoft Office products, including – but not limited to – Outlook, Excel, Word and Visio.
• Possess strong interpersonal skills, including ability to resolve conflict professionally with the assistance of management.
Willingness to learn and develop skills in controls applications, controls engineering, and programming

• Tridium N4 certified
• 2-5 years experience with HVAC Programming
• Come from a commercial background
