Job Description
Insight Global is looking for a Regulatory Liaison (Audit Records Support / PFS) to support Patient Financial Services at a large health system in the Maryland and DC area. They will be assisting with payer audit documentation and record submission. The Regulatory Liaison is responsible for pulling medical records from the EMR and uploading required documentation into an external auditor portal for audited accounts. The work is highly repetitive and detail‑oriented, with a strong emphasis on accuracy and consistency rather than analysis or decision‑making. This individual will also track audits and update denied amounts within MRO using a large Excel tracking spreadsheet. The environment is fast‑paced and production‑driven, with a daily target of approximately 60 records pulled and submitted. This is a documentation‑only role—no coding, billing, appeals, or payer follow‑up is involved. Training will be provided on systems and portals.
Primary Responsibilities / Day‑to‑Day
Pull medical records from the EMR (MedConnect)
Upload medical records and iBills into an external auditor portal (Alethea)
Track audit activity and update denied amounts in MRO
Work from large Excel trackers containing claim numbers, member numbers, and audit references
Ensure accurate matching of spreadsheet data to EMR records and portal submissions
Meet daily productivity targets (~60 records uploaded per day)
Maintain high accuracy and attention to detail

Required Skills & Experience
Strong attention to detail and ability to perform repetitive, high‑volume work
Comfortable working with claim numbers, member numbers, and audit reference data
Experience pulling medical records from an EMR and uploading documents to portals
Tech‑savvy; **must be very comfortable using Excel (data entry, tracking, navigating large spreadsheets)
Ability to stay organized and accurate; comfortable navigating multiple systems and external portals
Experience with Cerner as EHR
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Experience supporting payer audits or audit documentation workflows
Prior use of external portals (payer or auditor portals such as Availity, BCBS, auditor platforms like Alethea)
Experience in Patient Financial Services, HIM, or revenue cycle support roles
Familiarity with MRO or similar audit‑tracking applications
MedConnect experience
