Job Description

A client of Insight Global is seeking a Manufacturing Automation Engineer to join their team onsite in Middle River, MD. This engineer will play a key role in evaluating and troubleshooting CNC and additive manufacturing equipment, ensuring optimal performance and minimal downtime. They will collaborate closely with unionized shop floor personnel, providing technical support and fostering a strong working relationship. Additional responsibilities include identifying opportunities for process improvement and automation, then developing strategies to implement those solutions effectively.
As a member of a small, focused automation team, this individual will contribute to advancing the facility’s smart manufacturing capabilities and overall operational efficiency.


Compensation:

$30/hr to $35/hr.


Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Required Skills & Experience

• Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electronical Engineering and 3 years of experience
• Experience working in CAD tools
• Preferably CATIA
• Experience working in a manufacturing facility, Machine Shop, or Assembly Shop
• Experience working in an environment with union employees
• Experience diagnosing and fixing issues with CNC Machinery
• Familiarity with Additive Manufacturing
