Job Description

Insight Global is looking to hire a TS/SCI Cleared Integration and Test (I&T) Engineer to support a defense manufacturing partner in the Baltimore, MD area. This individual will play a key role in pre-production planning activities for a space-related payload program, helping define how systems will be integrated and tested in future production phases.
This role is focused on developing the overarching I&T strategy, infrastructure planning, and system-level test approach prior to production execution.
Daily responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Lead pre-production I&T planning efforts, defining how systems will be integrated and tested throughout the program lifecycle.
Develop I&T roadmaps, schedules, and test strategies aligned to program milestones and delivery timelines
Define test infrastructure requirements, including facility space, lab environments, and equipment needed to support system validation.
Evaluate and select tools, technologies, and MBSE platforms to support integration and testing activities
Conduct system performance requirement reviews and translate them into executable test plans and validation approaches.
Collaborate with systems engineering and design teams to ensure testability is built into system architecture early
Identify risks, constraints, and dependencies related to integration and test planning, and develop mitigation strategies.
Coordinate across engineering, manufacturing, and program teams to ensure alignment between design, integration, and future production testing efforts.
Establish processes, documentation, and standards for integration and test activities to be executed in later production phases.
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineers and technicians supporting I&T planning efforts.

Compensation:
$60/hr to $90/hr
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Required Skills & Experience

Active TS/SCI Security Clearance
Bachelor’s in STEM + 8 YOE; or MS + 6 YOE (Degree can be substituted for prior military experience)
Experience supporting pre-production integration & test planning for subsystems, payloads, or space vehicle development
Lead cross-functional engineering teams in early-phase system planning and coordination
Experience developing I&T strategies, roadmaps, and schedules aligned to program milestones and production readiness
Ability to determine facility requirements, test environments, tooling, and equipment needed to support future testing efforts
Experience defining test architectures and validation approaches to meet system performance requirements
Strong background in MBSE tools (CAMEO, Rhapsody, DOORS, etc.) to support requirements decomposition, system modeling, and test planning
Knowledge of test safety, risk identification, and mitigation planning in early lifecycle phases
