A client of Insight Global is looking for a Sr Linux System Administrator to join their team. This role involves maximizing performance and efficiency, mentoring junior team members, and managing infrastructure environment. Responsibilities include implementing system enhancements, managing backups, ensuring virus protection, maintaining security compliance, and managing user accounts. Additionally, the candidate will develop technical processes and provide support to other classified programs. Strong leadership, communication skills, and experience in network management are essential. The ideal candidate for this role will have stronger proficiency on with Linux Administration but is still comfortable working in Windows 30-40% of the time. They should have experience in Solaris OS, Ansible Playbooks, STIG implementation, bash/PowerShell scripting. This environment is a mix between physical servers and virtual machines.
Compensation: $55/hr. -- 70/hr. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Benefit packages for this role will start on the 1st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching.
