Job Description

Insight Global is looking for a Senior Printed Circuit Board Designer to support our client in Maryland. This individual will be responsible for creating detailed PCB layout designs based on engineering schematics and requirements. You must be willing and able to work individually as well as within a team.

Required Skills & Experience

-Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or related field. 10+ years of experience can be in replacement of a degree
-Experience with Orcad and Cadence software
-Ability to work individually and take initiative on various projects
-Experience with multiple PCB design software tools.
-Familiarity with high-speed and RF PCB design principles.
-Strong understanding of IPC standards for PCB design and fabrication.
-Experience with multi-layer PCB designs and complex circuitry.
-Knowledge of signal integrity and power integrity analysis.
-Proficiency in CAD and CAM software for PCB manufacturing.
-Experience with 3D modeling and mechanical design integration.
-Proven experience as a PCB Designer or similar role.
-Proficiency in using PCB design software like Altium -Designer, Eagle, or KiCad.
Strong understanding of electronic components and circuit theory.
-Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
-Ability to translate engineering requirements into detailed PCB layouts.
-Attention to detail and precision in design work.
-Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with teams.
-Understanding of manufacturing processes and design for manufacturability (DFM) principles.
