Insight Global is looking for a Clinical Education Specialist to support an inpatient behavioral health unit at a large hospital system out of Annapolis, MD. This person will promote the delivery of high-quality, cost-effective health care through the provision of expert clinical education and professional development. This person will collaborate with leadership team, clinical education team, and clinical staff in: the planning and implementation of organizational and departmental goals, creating a climate of innovation through role-modeling, consultation, research, and the facilitation of learning. Essential job duties include:
* Provides professional support to internal and external customers that meet the needs of their diverse age and cultural backgrounds. Acts as a resource for staff members.
* Demonstrates ability to assess the need for, plan, implement and evaluate high-quality, cost-effective educational programs for staff. Maintain educational records.
* Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates orientation programs for new staff.
* Assists in development of competencies for clinical staff. Collaborates with other departments/nursing areas to ensure consistency and to avoid duplication.
* Promotes the advancement of nurses by offering a variety of learning opportunities planned for nurses in different stages of the Novice to Expert continuum.

* Bachelor`s Degree in Nursing.
* Current licensure as a Registered Nurse by the Maryland Board of Nursing.
* BLS cert
* Hospital experience required (inpatient preferred)
* 5+ years RN experience
* 2+ years education experience required (not teaching as a professor or in a school... must be educating other staff)
* 1+ year experience in behavioral health/psych
