Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer to support a major hazardous waste disposition project for the U.S. Navy. This role involves designing a $10M facility to safely process and dispose of explosive materials through combustion, while meeting stringent pollution and life safety standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in chemical process design and plant engineering, third-party vendor collaboration with a safety-first mindset and experience managing complex stakeholder environments.

Required Skills & Experience

• Minimum 5 years of experience in Chemical Engineering
• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering
• Proven experience designing a waste material processing
facility
•Experience designing chemical process based facilities
• Experience reviewing industrial equipment designs, including drawings, specifications and application of equipment.
• Strong safety orientation with knowledge of environmental standards and hazard analysis protocols

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Masters Degree in related field
Active or Eligible Secret Clearance
Background in polution abatement technologies
