Job Description
My client is looking for a Generator Technician to join their growing team supporting the Navy out of Indian Head, Maryland. This will be a 7:30 - 3:30 shift Monday - Friday, and the correct candidate must be comfortable working onsite fulltime. Their day to day responsibilities will include operating, monitoring, and maintaining diesel, natural gas, and propane powered generators, perform operational testing, load bank testing, and emergency power system exercises, and troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, fuel, cooling, and control system issues

Required Skills & Experience
-3+ years experience maintaining and repairing commercial, industrial, or mission critical generator systems
-high school diploma or equivalent
-experience troubleshooting diesel engine systems, electrical controls, and power generation equipment
-ability to obtain DoD secret security clearance
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
- previous federal building experience
- associates degree or higher in facilities maintenance or engineering
