Job Description

My client, a federally focused research and consulting firm, is looking for 2 Electrical Design Support Engineers to support their federal customer in Indian Head, Maryland. This work is supporting a new, 5 year federal award for complete facility renovations in a complex, lab and industrial environment. Their day to day responsibilities will include developing design packages, preparing electrical drawings, specifications, and cost estimates for projects such as HVAC replacements, electrical power service, emergency generators, lightning protection, grounding, and controls/telecommunication systems. This opportunity is offering a competitive salary of $100,000 - $180,000 annually.

Required Skills & Experience

- Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering

- 8+ years of experience in federal electrical design

- 5+ years experience designing electrical power systems for new or upgraded buildings

- AutoCAD and Solidworks experience

- Must currently hold or be able to obtain a Department of Defense Secret-level security clearance

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

- Professional Engineer (PE) license

- Design experience in controlled spaces (humidity control, temperature control, etc.)
