Job Description

Insight Global is seeing a Direct hire - Planning Manager in Hurlock Maryland who will be responsible for developing and executing; demand and inventory plan to enable the company to meet sales and service objectives.

Responsibilities:
Include accurate control of all raw material inventory, cycle counts, physical counts, production planning, deployment, inventory reconciliation, MRP and O&D requests. Responsible for leading the activities of the Inventory team to ensure effective use of resources with a focus on inventory accuracy, inventory levels and customer service. This position provides support to other departments such as Accounting, FSQ, Corporate Marketing, Buyers and the Distribution Center supporting inventory related issues. The Planning Manager maintains and improves the integrity of the inventory processes and systems, proactively monitors key performance indicators and reports data to stakeholders.

Essential duties:
1. Strategic and tactical Supply Planning and management of RM & FG inventory.
2. Cross functional collaboration as part of S&OP process and primary owner of Supply Review.
3. Leads a planning team and manages talent development and evaluation of current teams abilities.
4. Presents data to stakeholders. Motivates/ influences to make best business decision.
5. Evaluate KPIs and ensure consistency in accountabilities. 6. Assists with all other duties as requested or assigned by the Plant Manager

Required Skills & Experience

- Minimum of 5 years of direct experience in supply planning, demand planning and S&OP preferably in food manufacturing company.
- Experience with Warehouse Management System(s), Atomic / PKMS
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well on cross-functional teams.
- Must be highly effective to manage with ability to evaluate, develop, and manage direct reports of varying skill levels.
- Experience leading supply planning team
- Strong analytical skills and ability to translate data into plans, actions and improvements. In addition to managing the team, this is a hands-on position that requires the candidate to roll-up their sleeves and complete regularly scheduled and on demand analytics, as well as verifying all plans comping out of the team are streamlined and accurate
- Experience with ERP system(s), Oracle JD Edwards
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

- Bachelors Degree Preferred, H.S. Diploma required
