Job Description

A mid size Law Firm is seeking a Legal Secretary to join their team on a contract basis five days a week onsite local to the D.C area. The ideal candidate will come from a legal background with experience in the receptionist or secretary space. This person will be supporting multiple practice groups all of which are on the defense.

Required Skills & Experience

GED or Bachelors Degree

2 years of legal secretary, paralegal, or equivalent work experience

Scheduling depositions for the defense

Preparing legal documents

Managing calendars/docketing

Conducting legal precedent research

Preparing for trials

The ideal candidate will be a motivated, organized, and efficient team player with experience in insurance defense/personal injury litigation. They should have trial preparation experience.
