A midsize law firm is currently seeking a full-time Legal Secretary to join our family Law Group in the Greenbelt office. This position involves direct contact with clients, courts, and other entities.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to, answering family law consult calls, incoming phone calls, prepare and maintain client files, schedule appointments, maintain calendars, file pleadings, prepare and work on discovery documents, discovery demands and responses, obtaining documents and other expert discovery. Attention to detail, excellent time management skills, strong technology and organization skills and impressive communication skills are necessary.
A high school diploma or GED required. Associates degree preferred. At least three years of family law, legal secretary experience, required or equivalent combination of education and experience. Spanish speaker preferred. Proficiency with Word and use of case management software required.
