Job Description
Prepare various equipment surfaces for painting by removing old decals and adhesives, sanding off rust, and cleaning with a degreaser.
Carefully mask and tape surfaces to protect them from paint.
Bleed out the air compressor to ensure no moisture is present before painting. Confirm the correct paint colors for each piece of equipment.
Assist the lead painter by applying primer to exposed metal and the base coat as directed.
Set up and maintain painting tools, including the air compressor, sanders, and other air tools. At the end of a shift, collect and put away all tools.
Inspect prepped units and finished paint jobs for accuracy and quality.
Maintain a clean and organized work area, including the paint bay and surrounding floor.

Required Skills & Experience
Must be able to frequently lift items, bend, kneel, and work with arms raised for extended periods. This job may also involve working at heights above 10 feet.
Attention to detail, superior communication and teamwork skills, and a diligent focus on safety are highly valued.
