Job Description

A client of Insight Global is looking for a Preventative Maintenance Technician to be based onsite in Glen Burnie, MD, supporting a range of commercial facility maintenance needs. The technician will be part of a team that manages multiple client locations throughout the region, which includes frequent travel and field-based assignments. The ideal candidate will be skilled in performing regular maintenance inspections, identifying and resolving potential issues before they escalate, and handling urgent repairs across CCTVs. Daily tasks involve inspecting and maintaining equipment, updating maintenance logs, and communicating with clients about progress and recommendations. While most work is completed independently, there will be opportunities to collaborate with teammates and leadership on larger projects. Additional responsibilities include updating project diagrams, submitting service reports, and ensuring compliance with safety protocols. This position demands strong technical expertise, readiness for fieldwork, and the ability to travel extensively


$19/hr to $23/hr.

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Required Skills & Experience

- High School Diploma or GED
- At least 1- 2 years of hands-on experience in preventative maintenance within commercial environments
- Background working with CCTVs,
- Experience documenting all maintenance activity, including repairs, parts used, and next steps
- Ability to read and interpret technical schematics, blueprints, and equipment manuals
- Valid Maryland Driver’s License

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

- Familiarity with building automation systems such as Siemens, Honeywell, or Johnson Controls
- Strong skills in Microsoft Office for reporting and updating maintenance logs, especially Excel and Visio
- Comfort with remote troubleshooting and updating digital project documentation (drawings, diagrams, spec sheets)
- Ability to lead safety meetings and promote maintenance best practices
