Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Business Analyst to support a large-scale logistics and transportation modernization initiative. The ideal candidate will understand logistics operations, transportation workflows, site survey activities, stakeholder coordination, business process documentation, and project execution and will own the current and future state workflow processes.

This individual will play a key role in maintaining the overall project plan, process mapping, current and future state workflows, coordinating activities across multiple workstreams, and ensuring timely communication between the project team and customer leadership. The project will include a combination of in-house and remote meetings, working sessions, and reviews of current transportation methods, operational processes, and site survey practices. This role will support both implementation activities and day-forward business process improvements while helping to ensure project milestones, deliverables, and customer expectations remain aligned throughout the engagement.

The Business Analyst will be engaged in the discovery, planning, documentation, coordination, and development of practical solutions that support logistics operations in a changing digital environment. Discovery will be done across 150 sites in person with a site surveying team to engage with building, how many trucks are needed, when and where pick up will be, schedule, etc. The discovery process should take about 2-3 months to assemble the information, roll out a plan for pickup and then move into other business and logistics needs. This role serves as a critical link between customer stakeholders, project leadership, and implementation teams by ensuring project activities remain organized, on schedule, and aligned with customer objectives.

In addition to gathering, validating, and documenting business and operational requirements, the Business Analyst will maintain project schedules, coordinate project activities across multiple stakeholders, track deliverables and dependencies, and provide recurring project reporting that enables both customer visibility and internal operational planning. The analyst will translate interview findings (Discovery), artifacts, process observations, and operational requirements into clear documentation for the Director of Logistics, Program Manager, system architects, developers, and project team.

• Daily, seamless communication with project managers, end users, logistics stakeholders, customer leadership, and technical teams.
• Maintaining and managing an integrated project plan for a large-scale transportation and logistics initiative, ensuring project milestones, dependencies, risks, and deliverables are accurately tracked and communicated.
• Coordinating schedules across multiple customer and internal teams to support efficient project execution, implementation activities, and operational readiness.
• Serving as a client-facing representative during project meetings, working sessions, status reviews, and executive briefings while maintaining a professional and consultative presence.
• Developing and producing routine project status reports, executive summaries, action item trackers, risk and issue logs, and other project documentation for customer review and leadership decision-making.
• Using project reporting and schedule management to drive internal team priorities, improve resource utilization, and ensure project activities remain aligned with customer expectations.
• Identifying schedule conflicts, operational risks, project dependencies, and resource constraints while recommending mitigation strategies to project leadership.
