Job Description:
A client of Insight Global is currently seeking a qualified System Admin in support of our client in Annapolis Junction, MD.
Position Summary
In this role, you will support the implementation, troubleshooting, maintenance, and manage Information Technology (IT) systems; infrastructure, and processes related to these systems. Essential responsibilities and activities include but are not limited to:
* Supporting day-to-day operations, monitoring, and problem resolution for client server, storage, network devices, mobile devices, etc.
* Supporting Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) problem identification, diagnosis, by remaining actively engaged through successful resolution, and by communicating detailed status and analysis to agency management and internal customers.
* Configuring and managing Windows operating systems and installations, loads operating system software, troubleshooting, maintaining integrity and by configuring network components along with implementing operating systems enhancements to improve reliability and performance.
* Perform updates and patching to ensuring compliance with Information Assurance (IA) standards.
* Applying Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG's) to Windows based operating systems.
* Creating technical documentation such as standard operating procedures (SOP) and as builds for both technical and non-technical audiences.
* Implementing and maintain enterprise Windows Active Directory Architectures, performing daily monitoring and reviewing system logs.
* Deploying, configuring and maintaining virtual hypervisors to include VMware and Acropolis Hypervisor (AHV); Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) platforms to include Citrix Xen Desktop; 3rd party applications, highly available SQL database engines, storage platforms similar to Dell EqualLogic and Dell Powervault.
Compensation: $130-170k.
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
