Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a dedicated, self-driven Practice Administrator to oversee financial operations, team leadership, and daily workflow across a multi-site medical practice in Ellicott City, MD.

This role is critical in ensuring operational efficiency, financial accuracy, and a high standard of patient care. Serving as the operational backbone of the practice, this individual plays a key role in keeping the organization running smoothly by bridging day-to-day operations with financial oversight and long-term stability.

This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who is confident working independently in QuickBooks and leading a small team in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

- Own all day-to-day accounting in QuickBooks, including processing accounts payable, running payroll, and maintaining accurate financial records
- Balance multiple accounts and perform daily reconciliations of bank accounts and credit cards to ensure accuracy
- Maintain the GL and prepare monthly financial statements and P&L reports to support business decisions
- Track key financial and operational metrics in Excel and consistently monitor performance
- Review financial performance and provide clear summaries and recommendations to leadership
- Oversee billing workflows and partner with internal staff on insurance claims and payment tracking
- Manage and support billing, call center, and back-office staff
- Monitor patient accounts and resolve payment discrepancies
- Support call center scheduling and workflow consistency during business hours
- Identify process gaps and implement improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy

Salary Range: $75,000–$95,000 per year, with potential for performance-based bonuses. Exact compensation varies based several factors including skills, experience, and education.

Required Skills & Experience

- 5+ years of medical office management experience
- Hands-on accounting experience with full ownership of financial processes
- Strong proficiency in QuickBooks, including:
Processing accounts payable
Running payroll cycles
Reconciling accounts and maintaining accurate records
- Experience preparing financial reports, including P&L statements and reconciliations
- Strong Excel skills for tracking and reporting KPIs
- Proven ability to identify inefficiencies and implement process improvements
- Proactive communicator with the ability to manage personnel across multiple locations while maintaining a unified team culture
- Ability to work fully on-site in Ellicott City, MD

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

- Bachelor’s degree (highly preferred – field of study flexible)
- Experience using ModuleMD practice management software
- History of long-term tenure in prior roles
