Job Description

A Client of Insight Global is looking for a Software Instructure to sit out of Elkridge, MD. As a member of the technical data and training department you’ll work in a fast-paced team environment alongside Design (software and hardware), Logistics and Reliability and Human Factors engineers, and program leadership to develop a software training program to teach international customers to design, program, patch, compile and test software for integration into a larger data center. Compensation ranges from $52/hr - $58/hr.

Required Skills & Experience

- Bachelor’s degree in computer science with 10 years of experience, a master’s degree in computer science with 5 years of experience.
• Working knowledge in two of the following languages: C++, C, Java, HTML/XML, Fortran
• Working knowledge of Linux Operating Systems such as Redhat, AlmaLinux, Windows Powershell, or OpenVMS DCL
• Expert knowledge of structured programming techniques
• Very knowledgeable of Instructional System Design (ISD) rooted in Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement and Evaluate (ADDIE) methodology.
• Working knowledge of Agile development methodologies
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Demonstrated problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Demonstrated ability to use basic manual tools.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

- Practitioner knowledge of software programming languages, test and integration
• Experience to program, test and integrate software for military systems
• Certified Military (Navy, Army, USAF) Instructor with programming experience.
