A client of Insight Global is looking for a Secret Cleared Technical Writer to join their team. The Technical Writer creates, revises, and edits technical documents, ensuring clear communication of technical information to diverse audiences. Responsibilities include preparing illustrative materials, conducting quality reviews, and publishing in various formats (page-based, electronic, interactive, HTML, XML, SGML). The role involves collaborating with task leads, writers, engineers, and instructors to develop sensor/system technical manuals, performing desktop publishing tasks, and researching information to develop manual outlines according to specifications and standards. Other duties may be assigned as needed.
Compensation: $32/hr. -- 35/hr. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Bachelors Degree in STEM discipline or related field or military operations and maintenance experience with radar, communications, electro-optics, networks and information technology -based sensors/systems
Expert knowledge on MS Office Products.
Minimum of 2 years experience with structured authoring applications, such as: MadCap, FrameMaker, or Arbortext.
Excellent attention to detail
Possess and maintain Department of Defense (DoD) Secret clearance
Self-starter and engaged team member
