Job Description
Develop and maintain QA/QC plans, procedures, and guidelines to meet project requirements and industry standards.
Ensure compliance with ASME, NBIC, AWS, and other applicable welding codes.
Oversee code repairs, manage relationships with Authorized Inspectors, and prepare code packages for review and submission.
Conduct and supervise field inspections for welding and other mechanical installations, ensuring compliance with approved procedures and quality standards.
Collaborate with project managers, welding engineers, and field personnel to address and resolve quality issues.
Lead audits and quality control reviews to ensure continuous improvement and adherence to regulatory requirements.
Manage documentation for welding procedures, inspections, and quality control processes, maintaining an organized record system.
Work closely with clients, vendors, and subcontractors to ensure quality expectations are met throughout the project lifecycle.

Required Skills & Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (preferably Mechanical or Welding). Will accept an equivalent combination of education and experience.
AWS CWI certificate preferred, AWS Senior CWI is a plus
Strong communication skills and ability to interface with customer in a professional manner
Working knowledge and experience with nondestructive testing methods
Strong working knowledge of MS Office suite, Bluebeam experience and AutoCAD experience is a plus
Strong working knowledge of mechanical and structural construction codes
Experience in preparing and reviewing code packages for regulatory and client submissions.
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings
10 years + experience in an Engineering/Quality Management role in mechanical construction
