Job Description

The Construction Superintendent plays a critical role in overseeing daily operations at construction sites. This position ensures that projects are completed efficiently and to the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities.



Responsibilities

1. On-Site Management

Watching and Answering Questions: Act as the primary point of contact for on-site inquiries, promptly addressing any issues or concerns raised by team members, contractors, or stakeholders.

Communication with Project Director: Regularly liaise with the project director to discuss progress, challenges, and potential solutions.

Checking Boxes: Ensure meticulous attention to detail in project documentation and compliance.

Dotting I's and Crossing T's: Review and verify all paperwork, contracts, and reports.

Anticipate Next Steps: Proactively assess the construction process, foreseeing upcoming tasks, and planning accordingly.



2. Safety and Compliance

Safety Oversight: Vigilantly monitor safety practices, identifying potential hazards, and implementing necessary Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) protocols.

Daily Reports: Provide comprehensive daily reports detailing on-site activities, progress, and safety measures.

Client Communication: Maintain clear communication with clients (e.g., county representatives) through organized group text messages.



3. Project Meetings and Future Work

Weekly Progress Meetings: Attend weekly progress meetings (typically on Mondays at 10 AM) to discuss project advancements, challenges, and coordination.

4. Team Supervision

Scale Work Oversight: While the scale work team is skilled, provide necessary oversight to ensure adherence to quality standards and project requirements.

Required Skills & Experience

5 years of construction experience

Strong leadership skills

Attention to detail

Experience managing complex construction projects

Knowledge of EHS standards

Excellent communication abilities for coordinating with team members, clients, contractors, and stakeholders
