Insight Global is looking for an Accountant/Payroll Specialist to sit hybrid in Columbia, MD supporting a software company. This individual will oversee and manage the payroll and accounting functions of the organization, ensuring accurate, timely employee compensation in compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations. This role combines strategic payroll oversight with hands-on accounting and finance duties, including general ledger transactions, reconciliations, accounts payable/receivable, and timekeeping. The ideal candidate has strong analytical abilities, exceptional attention to detail, and a proactive mindset to improve payroll operations while supporting broader accounting processes.
Compensation:
$30/HR - $40/HR

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field.
3-5 years of experience in payroll, accounting, or a similar role.
Experience using UNANET accounting software, including journal entries.
Proficient in payroll software (iSolved preferred).
Knowledge of payroll functions, internal controls, and payroll tax regulations.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
