Job Description

Work with Director of BI & Analysis, business stakeholders, and engineering teams to develop new reporting solutions including gathering & vetting requirements, designing data models, and creating dashboards
Work with the BI & Analysis team to leverage and promote BI governance, standards and best practices
Build and maintain reporting solutions using Power BI & Fabric according to established requirements
Work with business stakeholders to address changes across supported reporting solutions and provide support across identified issues or concerns
Work with senior team members in optimization of data models and refactoring of existing reporting solutions
Drive documentation of current and new reporting solutions for informing business partners and aligning on reporting definitions
Leverage SQL skills to answer ad-hoc data and reporting requests
Be proactive and take ownership of the projects and tasks assigned
Understand business functions and anticipate BI and reporting needs using business knowledge

Required Skills & Experience

Bachelor's degree from four-year College or university in Computer Science, Technology, Business, or related field.
3-4 years of experience in business intelligence, data analysis or related fields
Proven track record in building impactful reporting solutions using cloud native tools
Passionate about data, data analytics, visualizations, and storytelling
Experience with cloud-based business intelligence technologies
Experienced with SQL for data analysis and data modeling
Understanding of database and data modeling concepts
Knowledgeable about BI governance strategies and best practices
Strong analytic skills, attention to detail, ability to multi-task, troubleshoot and problem solve along with the ability to make recommendations based on analysis are extremely important
Must possess excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills
Must be self-managed, highly motivated and have a strong drive for results
Must be naturally able to exert influence, drive and steer stakeholders in the right direction
Proven, demonstrated capability in gathering and documenting complex business and functional requirements
Ability to grasp concepts quickly and reduce them to practice with little supervision
Ability to manage changing priorities and plan effectively in order to meet deadlines
Ability to analyze complex situations and to derive workable actions
Ability to constructively challenge requirements and current state to increase overall value to the firm

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Experience with cloud-based analytical platforms (GCP, Azure)
Experience with enterprise Business Intelligence technologies (Power BI, Fabric)
Knowledge of data lifecycle management (DLM)
Familiar with retail operations
Retail/E-commerce BG
