Rotating schedule: 1st shift:7AM-3PM, second shift:3PM-11PM, 3rd shift 11PM-7AM
6 Days on 1st shift
2 Days off
7 Days on 2nd shift
4 Days off
7 Days on 3rd shift
2 Days off

An employer is looking for a Stationary Engineer in the Baltimore, MD area. This individual will be responsible for the proper operation of high pressure boilers, steam-drive turbine generators, pumps, air compressors, fans, and auxiliary equipment. This person must be familiar with steam, air, oil, and power systems in a refinery and be able to follow approved standard and emergency procedures. The engineer will instruct and aid the Power House mechanics in their duties to maintain all equipment, and maintain all records including a Power House log and data collection hourly. The engineer will work alongside supervisors to identify power or steam deficiencies, monitor and help troubleshoot processes and conditions, and notifies appropriate personnel when alarm signals sounds. This role requires someone who has previous experience with boiler and cooling water chemistry and treatment, and has the ability to perform minor mechanical repairs. This role includes flexibility in working a rotating schedule that includes overtime, days, nights, weekends, and some holiday coverage.

54.25/hour - union role

Required Skills & Experience

Maryland First Grade Stationary Engineer License
5+ years of experience with Boiler/Powerhouse Utilities and any processes that involve both high pressure steam generation and power generation. Also experience with proper operation of high pressure boilers, steam-drive turbine generators, pumps, air compressors, fans, and auxiliary equipment.
Familiar with steal, air, oil, and power systems and able to follow approved standard and emergency procedures
Available to work a rotating shift schedule
