Job Description
Insight Global is seeking an experienced Electrician to join a well-established engineering solutions firm in the Bethesda and Rockville, MD area. This is a full-time, permanent role with competitive compensation and option to enroll in benefits.
In this role, the Electrician will work at a federal industrial facility supporting the electrical infrastructure across the campus. They will be responsible for walkthroughs and inspections of electrical vaults/switchgear systems, recording and documenting electrical device status, and creating reports for clients. In addition to this, the Electrician will develop and document methods of procedure (MOPs) for routine and emergency maintenance tasks to ensure compliance with safety codes and operational standards.
The Electrician will also perform standard tasks like running wires and conduit, switchgear maintenance, and diagnostics/troubleshooting. We’re looking for folks who are solution-oriented and able to independently create solutions to electrical infrastructure problems as they arrive.
This is ~400-13,000-volt environment, so candidates must possess strong high-voltage diagnostics and troubleshooting experience. The right candidate will also be a licensed journeyman.

Required Skills & Experience
· 5+ years of industrial, federal, or commercial electrician experience
· Journeyman license required
· Several years of past experience developing and writing MOPs for large campus environments, including MOPs for outages of service
· Prior experience working independently in a high-voltage environment
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
· Familiarity/prior experience working with relays and transformers
· Prior experience managing electrical controls at a large facility
