Job Description
Insight Global is seeking a qualified Systems Engineer specializing in Modeling & Simulation (M&S) to support cutting-edge research and development group located at Aberdeen, Maryland. Your primary mission will be to help build a comprehensive software simulation environment that models the RF system’s data processing chain—supporting the development of innovative RF concepts in a lab setting.

Key Responsibilities
· Initiate solutions across subsystems and disciplines (software, hardware, modeling, and analysis).
· Provide support for system troubleshooting and problem resolution by identifying and mitigating technical issues that arise during development and operational phases
· Research and develop innovative/emerging radar signal processing algorithms and models to integrate into the overall M&S effort to model and emulate radar capabilities
· Develop and maintain simulation models of radar systems for performance evaluation and scenario testing, aiding in the design and refinement of radar algorithms
· Support integration and setup of a dynamic spectrum emulator environment (desktop and HW channel).
· Support integration and evaluation of signature and resource management techniques.
· Communicate complex technical ideas and present clear, well-organized presentations in relevant terms for audiences at all levels
· Identify system performance bottlenecks and propose actionable recommendations for improvement.
· Maintain and update technical documentation for individual models, systems, and components, ensuring comprehensive documentation of the full system.
$50hr to $73hr.
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Required Skills & Experience
· Active Secret Clearance or higher
· BS (Electrical, Physics, or Computer Engineering).
· 3+ years of experience simulating and emulating RF environments utilizing Modeling & Simulation tools/systems
· Experience with Programming/Scripting languages (MATLAB, C, C++ or Python.)
· Experience with radar signal processing, modeling & simulation, RF propagation, RF multipath, antenna patterns, and waveforms.
· Experience Developing system and sub-system level models
· Collaborative version control knowledge
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
· Experience using and testing hardware-in-the-loop systems
· Experience related to radar systems
· Experience with simulating and implementing back-end Radar Signal Processing techniques, such as CFAR detection, digital beamforming, Pulse-Compression, and Rang-Doppler Processing
· Clearly communicates complex ideas and presentations in relevant terms for audiences at all levels.
· Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new tools/situations in a highly dynamic work environment
