Job Description
Insight Global is looking for a Logistician to join one of their federal contracting clients in the Baltimore, MD area. The Logistician will support a SATCOM contract and will be in charge of packing satelliete dishes in a military configuration then shipping them out. Additionally, the Logistician will be responsible for supporting asset accountability, shipping, receiving, and logistics operations in accordance with military and commercial requirements. The role ensures accurate tracking, documentation, and movement of materials while complying with government logistics standards. An active SECRET clearance is required. This is a fully onsite opportunity – 5 days a week.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
-Perform asset tracking and maintain accurate inventory records throughout the asset lifecycle
-Prepare, review, and manage shipping and receiving documentation
-Coordinate and execute shipment of assets through both commercial carriers and military logistics systems
-Ensure compliance with military logistics requirements, policies, and procedures
-Utilize asset tracking and inventory management software to monitor and report asset status
-Support warehouse operations, including receiving, staging, storing, and issuing materials
-Assist with audits, inspections, and reconciliation of inventory records as required

Required Skills & Experience
-Active Secret clearance
-High school diploma or GED
-Minimum 3 years of experience preparing and editing shipping and receiving documentation
-Experience working in a warehouse or logistics environment tracking assets
-Hands‑on experience supporting shipping and receiving operations
-Knowledge of military logistics and processes
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
-Experience, degree, or coursework in Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or related discipline
