Job Description

We are looking for a Senior DevOps/MLOps Engineer to join our AI Enablement team within the Data and AI COE on a contract basis. In this role, you will work directly with our data engineering, ML engineering, and data science teams to help them effectively build and operate on our enterprise Databricks environment on AWS. You will contribute to platform reliability, automation, and CI/CD workflows, and serve as a hands-on technical resource for practitioners across these teams.

Required Skills & Experience

4-7 years of experience in DevOps, platform engineering, or cloud infrastructure
Hands-on experience with Databricks — including Unity Catalog, workspace administration, cluster policies, service principals, and permission models
Solid AWS experience — IAM, S3, EC2, VPC — with experience integrating cloud services with data platforms
Working experience with Terraform and scripting in Python and/or Bash
Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions or Jenkins; familiarity with Databricks asset bundle deployment workflows
Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to work effectively within a directed, team-based environment

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Experience with the Databricks SDK (Python) and Databricks REST APIs
Familiarity with FinOps or cost management practices for cloud data platforms
Background supporting MLOps patterns or data science/ML workloads on Databricks
Experience with observability and monitoring tools such as CloudWatch, Grafana, or Datadog
Knowledge of Unity Catalog best practices or enterprise data governance frameworks
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience
