Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Field Systems Engineer to support the planning, integration, installation, and sustainment of advanced Navy SIGINT and Electronic Warfare systems aboard U.S. Navy vessels and shore-based facilities. This individual will serve as a key liaison between engineering teams, government stakeholders, shipyards, and fleet operators to ensure successful execution of complex installation and modernization efforts.

Key Responsibilities

Support shipboard system installations, modifications, and modernization efforts across Navy platforms.
Coordinate with government stakeholders, engineering teams, shipyards, and fleet customers to execute installation activities.
Review, interpret, and redline Ship Installation Drawings (SIDs) and technical documentation.
Conduct site surveys, installation planning meetings, and technical reviews.
Provide daily status updates and maintain project documentation utilizing tools such as JIRA.
Assist with integration, troubleshooting, fabrication, and testing of electronic, RF, and networked systems.
Ensure compliance with NAVSEA standards, MIL-STD requirements, Information Assurance requirements, and shipyard safety protocols.
Support system audits, quality assurance efforts, and as-built documentation activities.
Travel to shipyards, naval installations, and fleet locations as required.

Required Skills & Experience

6+ years of experience supporting shipboard or submarine system installations and alterations.
Experience managing Department of Defense (DoD) or NIWC installation, integration, and modernization efforts.
Ability to interpret and navigate Ship Installation Drawings (SIDs).
Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat Pro.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Working knowledge of MIL-STD requirements, Information Assurance practices, and system installation processes.
Ability to work in shipboard and industrial environments, including lifting up to 50 pounds and adhering to safety requirements.
Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/SCI clearance
