Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Property Maintenance Mechanics to join our clients onsite in New Orleans, LA. The Property Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and upkeep of various properties, often requiring availability 24/7, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. This role involves addressing immediate needs such as plumbing, heating, and air conditioning repairs. The mechanic works closely with site supervisors and the management team to complete tasks submitted through the work order system. They may either perform the work themselves or coordinate with contractors, scheduling and overseeing the completion of tasks before closing out work orders.

Daily responsibilities include managing different budgets, including a capital improvements budget, and maintaining regular contact with the Executive Director of the NOLA sites. The mechanic conducts daily rounds to perform both preventative and reactive maintenance, ensuring all systems are functioning properly. Additionally, they manage projects and resource allocation, often outsourcing tasks to vendors when necessary.

Effective communication and organization are crucial for success in this role, as the mechanic must coordinate with various stakeholders and ensure timely completion of maintenance tasks.
This role can pay between $27/hr - $32/hr. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Required Skills & Experience

· High school diploma or equivalent
· Valid driver's license and clean driving record
· 3 or more years of experience in reactive/preventative maintenance in high-end residential neighborhoods/commercial buildings
· Previous experience utilizing a work order ticketing system
· Familiarity with basic computer systems, including MS Office Suite
· The ability to work on-call including evenings, weekends, and holidays if needed

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

· 5 or more years of experience reactive/preventative maintenance in high-end residential neighborhoods/commercial buildings
· Any previous trade school experience/degree
· Previous experience managing a budget
