Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Remote Instrumentation Engineer (Offshore Projects) for one our Global EPC clients in Metairie, Louisiana! The engineer will perform instrument engineering assignments associated with designing equipment, components, structures or systems. This individual will independently prepare intermediate to advanced level specifications for project assignments detailing client performance requirements, specific component needs, design requirements, applicable design codes, and vendor drawing requirements. Engineer will prepare engineering sketches, perform engineering calculations, and develop analysis models for complex project assignments, review and/or approve vendor drawings for compliance with project specifications and actively participate in company and client hazard identification and observation programs, and immediately report any unsafe acts, conditions or incidents to your supervisor. The engineer will interact with drafting/design group to develop and review engineering drawings. This position will be able to sit remote given the right experience.

Required Skills & Experience

-Bachelor's of Engineering from ABET accredited university

-PE license

-10 years or more in an Engineering role within Oil and Gas.

-Offshore/Deepwater Instrumentation design experience.

-Understanding of API, ABS, USCG codes

-Good written and verbal communication skills

-Ability to communicate with vendors and other stakeholders
