Job Description

Insight Global's client is looking for a Substation Project Manager/Estimator who will be responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and completion of multiple substation construction projects in Louisiana and East Texas. This position will require the daily management, supervision, and coordination from the estimating phase to the successful completion and close out of the projects.



Some of the day-to-day responsibilities will include:

- Oversees bid management, including customer site evaluations, to streamline the bidding process.

- Conducts thorough research to ensure competitive pricing and optimal resource allocation.

- Ensures accurate estimates and selections meet customer needs and financial objectives.

- Leads project planning to maintain adherence to specifications, schedules, and budgets.

- Manages site operations, including safety audits and budget compliance.

- Delivers regular client updates to meet expectations and achieve business targets.

- Refines internal processes for better alignment with customer and business objectives.

- Monitors project progress to keep timelines and budgets on track.

- Maintains comprehensive project records for transparency and historical clarity.

Required Skills & Experience

- Bachelor's degree in construction management, electrical engineering, or a related field

- Substation construction experience, whether it be as a PM or part of a substation crew

- Solid ability in researching, analysis, planning, project management, and processes

- Strong organizational and time management skills; ability to multi-task with strong attention to details and excellent follow through to ensure successful projects every time.

- Strong verbal and written communication skills

- Strong customer facing and leadership experience

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

* Excellent MS Office, Primavera knowledge or experience
