The OSP Designer II is responsible for designing, PLANNING, and overseeing the implementation of outside plant (OSP) telecommunications networks. This mid-level engineering position requires a solid understanding of OSP principles and skills. The OSP Designer II is involved in all phases of network projects, from collaborating field surveys and preparing detailed designs. This role also entails mentoring junior Designers and providing technical guidance to field teams.

Strong understanding of OSP network design, including fiber optic and copper cable systems.
Proficiency with CAD, GIS, and other design/mapping tools.
Ability to read and interpret construction plans, engineering drawings, and network schematics.
Solid project management skills, scheduling, and resource allocation.
Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
Strong communication skills with the ability to lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams
2-3 years of experience in telecommunications, construction, or engineering support preferred.
