Job Description
Insight Global is seeking a Data Center HVAC Project Manager for a client. This individual will manage HVAC scopes within large‑scale data center construction projects, ensuring systems are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate brings strong construction‑phase HVAC experience, recent data center exposure, and thrives in an onsite, fast‑paced environment. This role offers a rotational onsite schedule, daily per diem, and a company vehicle to support work on cutting‑edge data center builds.
Day-to-Day
Oversee HVAC scope of work for active data center construction projects
Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and internal construction teams
Manage project schedules, budgets, and change orders
Ensure HVAC systems are installed per design, code, and project specifications
Conduct onsite inspections and participate in construction progress meetings
Track milestones and report project status to leadership
Support testing, commissioning, and turnover of HVAC systems
Serve as the primary onsite HVAC project contact during rotations

Required Skills & Experience
5–10 years of experience in HVAC within construction environments
Recent experience managing data center construction projects
Strong background in mechanical systems for mission‑critical facilities
Proven project management experience (scheduling, budgeting, subcontractor oversight)
Experience working onsite for large-scale construction projects
Ability to travel and work a 3 weeks onsite / 1 week home rotation
Strong communication skills and ability to coordinate across multiple stakeholders
